Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny

Easily the most recent shrine we've seen to date, this one dates from 2009.  The shrine is located in the grounds of Danesfort church, behind a wall and screened by bamboo so that it can't be seen from the road.

    The form of the Marian statue is quite traditional which suggests to me that it was recycled from another location.
